The Oscars have had their moments of the drama from Hattie McDaniel, who won an Oscar for “Gone with the Wind”, was banned from sitting with her co-stars for being black, John Wayne (stopped by 6 security guards) trying to stop Sacheen Littlefeather from refusing the Oscar instead of Marlon Brando to ‘La la Land’ winning the Oscar for Best Picture for a few minutes before the true winner ‘Moonlight’ rightly won, so the slap of Will Smith on comedian Chris Rock was dramatic, a physical assault and shamefull but not the only moment in Oscar history when something dramatic has happen.
The worst part is it shunned the rest of the ceremony that had some interesting winners, with CODA winning all the categories in which it was nominated: Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Actor in Secondary Role. Dune winning an impressive amount of categories, Jessica Chastain and Ariana DeBose winning their respective categories and Billie Eilish very cute reaction to her win of Best Song.
The hosts for this year’s ceremony were Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, Wanda Sykes and it was a breath of fresh air to finally have hosts after two years without.
