“Paddington 2” is the continuation of the adorable adventures of the marmalade eating bear. It is a treat for the whole family!
Paddington, now happily settled with the Brown family and a popular member of the local community, picks up a series of odd jobs to buy the perfect present for his Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, only for the gift to be stolen.
Paul King (“Paddington”) is back in command to sheer the ship into funny and charming waters. “Paddington 2” is a delight. Charming, funny and touching the film is perfect movie for the cold winter months. The film doesn’t fall for the easy sequel trap but improves on the previous film by keeping its innocence and enchanting moments and creating new and layered adventure for the main hero.
The greatest thing about the film is Hugh Grant. He gives one of his best performance of his career, showing off his range, his comedic side, his dance and singing qualities. A marvellous performance by the actor. Brendan Gleeson and Noah Taylor are very nice additions to the existing cast composed of Sally Hawkins, Peter Capaldi, Jim Broadbent, Julie Walters, Hugh Bonneville and the voice of Ben Whishaw as Paddington.
