InfiniTIFF offers a platform for new forms of audio-visual storytelling and connects cinema lover and artists with cutting edge development in virtual reality and interactive cinema. This platform was launched during the 16th Transilvania International Film Festival in june. InfiniTIFF stretches the cinematic experience beyond the traditional known forms.
During the Festival an experience zone was created for everybody. There were seven different programmes with more than three hours of fiction, non-fiction and animated VR experiences.
Different activities and performances were planned. Including a series of workshops to discover VR and create VR content. One of the main attractions was “Doom Room” by Jesper Dalgaard. This was a combination of live performance and VR fiction involving six blindfolded people who pass through a spectrum of emotions and spaces.
Another very interesting initiative apart from the VR content, was giving the audience the chance to participate with the plot and the outcome of movies. During the movie “Late Shift” Tobias Weber the audience voted 180 times in order to determine the plot and the ending of the feature.
