The MCU team did it again creating a thrilling adventure that is arguably one of the best Marvel movies ever made.
Shang-Chi, the master of unarmed weaponry-based Kung Fu, is forced to confront his past after being drawn into the Ten Rings organization.
Destin Daniel Cretton (“Just Mercy”, “The Glass Castle”) crafted a new character in the MCU universe that feels fresh and original with a gorgeous cinematography by Bill Pope. The images and the world that is unfolding in front of your eyes is magnificent combined with an elaborated choreography for the fighting scene’s which lets the actors actually fight their battles and not let a stunt double always take over. Destin Daniel Cretton also gave a lot of heart to the movie, making the characters from flesh and blood with heartbreaking backstories that elevate the film without losing track of the humor that is always infused in a Marvel movie.
Simu Liu is great Shang-Chi charismatic and funny. Tony Leung is a fascinating villain, bringing a lot of depth to the character. Meng’er Zhang is a discovery as a badass fighter. Michelle Yeoh is always on top of her game, bringing power and warmth to her role. But the real star is Awkwafina, who steals the movie away with humor and sensibility to her character.
